The passion for women’s development is the driving force behind the establishment of the NANA Girls and Women Initiative. With no laxity, they’ve been in the pursuit of this goal for close to five years.
A lot of projects have blossomed in their hands, but the likes of the first female mechanic workshop brought the attention of Nigerians.
Not recorded before, an all-female mechanic workshop was built by NANA Girls and Women Initiative. The project was commissioned in Sokoto state by the director-general of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC)
The project was done by the NANA Girls and Women Initiative with the view of eradicating gender disparities in the automobile field.
Passionate Nigerian women were trained by the NGO, NANA Girls and Women Initiative employed work at the newly commissioned workshop.
At the commissioning, Jelani Aliyu, the director-general of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) expressed his utmost delight at the project and applauded the fact that the project will create more jobs opportunities for women in the field of mechanical engineering.
