It was an exciting weekend for wives of Nigeria military men (soldiers and defense) as they got empowered through Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation.
The empowerment project tagged as “Free Personal Development and Entrepreneurship Training For Defense And Police Officers Wives” was uniquely organized at a stretch of five days. Resource personnel was employed to train the officer’s wives intensively on variables that embody entrepreneurship which cuts across; Introduction to entrepreneurship & leadership, Customers Acquisition, and Customer retention.
According to the representative of the consultant of the program; Erhirihi Adogbeji, Women were the major target of the empowerment project, because it is believed that, a woman is a helpmeet and if the woman is successful then the family will more successful.
Apart from the long sessions of seminars, participants were taken through practical classes in paint productions, digital marketing, and organic production.
Participants were taught how to use their phones to run their businesses online. They also learned how to prepare black soap in a “do it yourself” session.
The juicy part of the training was the session on “necessity of business plan”. They were given tips on how to set an effective business plan and how to run a small-scale business.
A few out of hundreds of participants were given the privilege to speak about the 5-day training. They all gave their heartfelt gratitude to Prophet Jeremiah and his wife. They also said the training has remarkably changed their lives for the better.
At the climax of the event, Prophet and his wife handed over certificates and envelopes containing funds for business start-ups. He gave out 40 million to 200 participants.
