
With a clear-cut difference of 183 votes, Steve Ezeonu won Greg Gessner; his closest opponent. Steve Ezeonu was elected into a political office at the Grand Prairie City Council run-off election in Texas, United State.
The hardworking 22 years old Ezeonu was congratulated by the Chairman of NiDCOM Abike Dabiri Erewa through the Head of Media and Public Relations Of the NiDCOM; Abdu-Rahman Balogun. She commended Ezeonu on his victory and said his victory at quite a young is traceable to his hard work, resilience, and doggedness.
Before the elections on the 5th of June, Ezeonu worked as a retail store clerk, youth basketball trainer, and substitute teacher. He was also a tutor for low-income students throughout the DFW metroplex.
The low income generated from these jobs did not only sustain his pocket for a while but also left him with experience and passion for public services. He also got acquainted with the day-to-day challenges Grand Prairie citizens face.
Giving a congratulatory speech, Abike Dabiri Erewa advised youths to emulate Ezeonu’s hardworking attitude and encouraged Ezeonu to fulfill all his political promises.
