Nigerian Pharmacist Co-Developed Nanoscanner That Detects Fake and Spoilt Drugs in 15seconds

Adebayo Alonge is a Nigerian Pharmacist by profession, a passionate inventor and innovator, a deep tech entrepreneur and market development professional who recently emerged the winner of the 2019 Hello Tomorrow Global Deep Tech Challenge. He has been instrumental to the growth of the innovation, entrepreneurship and marketing sector of the country.

Adebayo had his secondary education in King’s College, Lagos. He had his University education in the University of Ibadan, Oyo state where he bagged a degree in Pharmacy. Later, he went to Lagos Business School to obtain a Master in Business Administration. He further obtained Masters of Advance Management from Yale School of Management as well as Masters in Public Administration from John F. Kennedy School of Government before he went to Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy to study International Business.

Describing the effect behind this push, 15 years ago, Adebayo almost lost her life resulting from the negative effects of a fake drug he took.

12 years later, he has co-founded RxAll, a deep tech company in 2017, an AI-hyperspectral platform for Authenticating Drugs.

In 2019, he represented Nigeria in a Global Challenge and emerged the winner. Reiterating, he transited from almost losing life to inventing a life-resuscitating device. Adebayo won a grand prize of €100,000 beating startups from 119 countries of the world in the contest.

Adebayo became first African to win this contest as he was also named the World’s First Drug authentication.

Adebayo gave accolades to his background education in Lagos and Ibadan for the solid foundation he was given that formed the basis on which all other accomplishments rested on.
