The awesome academic feet of Fatima A. Akinola have left records broken and minds amazed. Akinola is a girl who leaves a mark on every footstep.
During her B.sc days at Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, Akinola graduated with a 4.73/5.0 CGPA in mathematics making her the first female to achieve those feet.
Her secondary school days were littered with lots of applaudable achievements. She came out first at Kano State (12th at National level) Chemistry International Olympiad for senior high schools.
She also represented Sokoto State at several competitions including the National Cowbell Mathematics competition for junior high schools at Lagos in 2009 and the National junior Mathematics Olympiad in Ibadan in 2009.
At Marshall University, USA, for her master’s degree program, Akinola performed excellently well with a 4.0/4.0 CGPA. From all her academic achievements, Akinola said her success at Marshall University was her proudest achievement. Her joy was that she was able to prove Nigeria to the world through her academic achievements.
When asked, “What next,” Fatima revealed that she would be going for her Ph.D. at the University of Florida, on a fully-funded scholarship.
