In the spirit of Christmas, the Victory Idewele Foundation (VIF), paid a visit to IDP camp Kuchingoro Abuja on Tuesday 28th December 2021, with food items/relief materials, medical services, and offered 10 scholarships.
The founder of VIF; Innocent Idewele, said “We are here for a medical outreach; we are giving out scholarships to 10 students, we are also donating food items and toiletries to them as well. I chose Kuchingoro IDP camp because some years ago, I saw how they were living, and I said there is a lot to be done for them.”
“These people have some health conditions which we are trying to arrest with the help of our medical team. Those with ailments that cannot be attended to immediately would be taken to a hospital where we would ensure that their health is restored.”
Idewele further stated that the Foundation would conduct frequent visits to the camp with the aim of doing all that it can to improve the living conditions of the women and children.
On why the Foundation chose to reach out this season, the Founder noted that “the best way to celebrate Christmas is by doing good to the people because the Bible says when you give to the poor, you lend to God and your reward comes from God, therefore it is better we reach out to them and take them as our own, and also we should not wait for the government to do everything for us, we are the government.”
A beneficiary of the donation, Ali Yusuf was grateful for the donations and urged other foundations to follow suit.
