Mr Sam has worked with Sheraton, UBA, Fine Coat and other big brands. He had a taste of been an employee and concluded that being an employer was the best pay for his passion – cooking. He retired and started his own business.
Mr Sam and his beautiful wife sell puff puff at Iyanapaja Lagos. Together they make meat pie, egg roll, fish roll and doughnuts.
On serval occasions, he has been belittled and underpaid for his hard labour. In narrating one of those bitter experience, Mr Sam said he worked (he cooked bags of rice daily)for a man for a month with little assistance and was paid 20,000. The man said he was doing him a favour with that pay. Feeling bad and unhappy about the pay, Mr Sam made up his mind to start his own business.
From his little beginning, he has been able to set up two branches at Lekki and has boys whom he trained to handle the business.
He said he earns twice his monthly salary within two days.
The focused and hard-working man as described by his wife, now buys ten bags of flour, four gallons of oil and fifty crates of eggs weekly to run his business.
To his amazement, he has been able to start construction of his own house from earnings of his Puff puff business.
