A Nigerian lady known as Bolarinwa Kemisola created a secure and simple smart bra that can be used to detect cancer early.
It is said that the bra is without side effects because it is nanotechnology and it’s harmless to the body.
With this technology, females do not need to go to a hospital before they can do a mammogram because they can run a check within five minutes with the smart bra in the comfort of their homes.
The movement against breast cancer is about to witness a major boost with this new inventory by a Nigerian woman.
A robotics and embedded systems engineer, Bolarinwa Kemisola produced a smart bra that can detect breast cancer in its early stage.
She revealed to BBC News Pidgin that the inspiration behind the invention came as a result of losing her aunt to breast cancer in 2017.
In the year 2021, she did a test run on a prototype of the smart bra.
She also added that the smart bra has small sensors with its nanotechnology that does not cause any damage on human body tissues.
She further clarified that it’s not underwear that is worn throughout the day.
It is to be worn when the breast cancer check is being carried out and that is only within a period of five minutes.
Nigerians praise the woman for her brilliant innovation.
