Nigerian gets Employed as an Advisor to US President on Covid-19 Matters

The passion and precision to work possed by Nigerians have been duly recognised by the newly appointed President of U.S, Joe Biden. He found a Nigerian worthy to be one of the members of the Biden-Harris COVID-19 response team. Oseremen Okolo was appointed on Thursday, December 31 2020.

The 26-year-old lady hails from Ewohimi in Esan South East Local Council of Edo State. She was brought up by her Nigerian parents in Massachusetts. She’s an alumni of Harvard University. She was previously a senior health policy adviser to U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky of Illinois. While working with Schakowsky, Oseremen ensured her duties were executed exceptionally well. She managed the Congresswoman’s legislation, oversight, and policy across comprehensive health care and public health agenda.

Aside from medical practice, Okolo enjoys writing and has a special spot for Nigerian’s foods.

The joy of Nigerians knew no bounds as Nigerians flooded social media with congratulatory messages. The governor of her state of origin, Mr Obaseki also congratulated her on social media. He found her appointment as an achievement to Edo state especially to the youth, he described her as a noble role model. He said,
“I congratulate Miss Osaremen Okolo on her appointment as the COVID-19 Policy Advisor to the President-elect, Joe Biden. The feat attests to your brilliance, dedication and resilience and her exceptional zeal to make a remarkable change in society.”
