The Niger Delta indigene was commissioned as the 2nd lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. She’s the first female Nigerian to be commissioned into one of the eight uniformed services in the United States.
The United States Marine Corps is also known as United States Marines is a branch of the United States Armed Forces charged with the responsibilities of conducting expeditionary and amphibious operations with the United States Navy as well as the Army and Air Force.
