
The Federal Government has commissioned $1million(364billion) locally assembled vehicles through the collaboration with the National Automotive Design and development council (NADDC).
The Minister of Industry, trade and investment Mr Adeniyi Adebayo said the vehicles were produced by 17 firms including pioneers of Made in Nigeria vehicles such as Coscharis, Nissan, Innoson, Ford and Elizade motors.
The Minister also made known that the vehicles would be used at the Argungu motor rally which is being held in Kebbi annually and would be kicked off by the President Muhammad Buhari in Abuja.
The Minister acknowledged the growth of the auto industry in Nigeria, he said Nigeria is moving forward in the area of automotive assembly compared to the zero production level in 2012.
