A Nigerian Wildlife Ranger won a significant conservation award for his courageous efforts in saving the lives of elephants that were in danger in Bauchi State, Nigeria.
The man named Suleiman Seidu won the Tusk Wildlife Ranger Awards,2021 edition for his heroic act.
Mr. Suleiman works with the Nigerian National Park Service at the Yankari Game Reserves where he’s been working to prevent animal lives from going into extinction since 1999.
It was reported that the Nigerian National Park Service employed Suleiman in 1999 and was deployed to Yankari Game Reserve where he aids in combating poaching and to protect elephants.
He was rewarded with a cash prize of N16 Million. The managers of the Tusk Conservation Award said on its website that Suleiman is a dedicated ranger. It says:
“His diligence, hard work, commitment, and honesty have earned him the respect and admiration of both his colleagues and his community.”
