Governor Okowa Creates Wealth Creators in Delta State

Governor Okwa was described by the Governor of Abia state, as a leader who believes in a prosperous society through human capital development and infrastructure transformation. Governor Okwa has proved his believes through his actions.
He once said the empowerment of our youth is the security of our peace.

In order to safeguard the peace of Delta and to curb unemployment in the state, Governor Okwa issued out starter pack to 776 beneficiaries at the state government’s Rural Youth Skills Acquisition (RYSA) programme held at Asaba, the state capital.

RYSA was initiated by the Delta State Ministry of Youths. Through the program, youths were trained in aluminum, profiling, catering, fashion designing, plumbing, and other essential skills.

According to Governor Okwa, the presentation of the starter pack to the RYSA beneficiaries was a step towards building businesses in Delta State.

The pack was not just given to any Tom Dick or Harry. The beneficiaries were made to go through rigorous training to ensure that they are the right hands for the pack.

Giving a statement concerning the graduation ceremony, Governor Okwa said, “Less than a week ago, we empowered 437 young ladies with various starter-packs to commence their businesses. Today, we are resourcing 776 young men and women under our Rural Youth Skills Acquisition Programme (RYSA). “As it is with all our entrepreneurship development programmes, they have been taken through a rigorous training regiment which included modules in personal effectiveness, business management, and proficiency test. Those that are being empowered today have proved their worth and readiness to commence their entrepreneurial journey”.

He promised to continue the sponsorship of different programs, to ensure that an army of entrepreneurs is been raised in Delta State.

Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state encouraged graduates of RYSA to uphold integrity and diligence so as to excel in their chosen businesses.
