Federal Polytechnic Lecturer Builds A Zero Fuel Consumption Car

It was an exciting moment for students and lecturers of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, as Engineer Puis Nwosu unveiled his newly designed electric car that works on solar energy.

The corridors of social media were also bubbling with excitement, through comments seen on Emeagi Agwamba Ijeoma post about the solar car.

It took Engr. Puis Nwosu six months to complete the construction of the car, without foreign aid. The materials used in the construction were locally sourced.

Emeagi Agwamba Ijeoma who uploaded the feat on her Facebook page said a car has never been built since the inception of the school in 1978. She congratulated Federal Polytechnic Nekede as well as Engineer Pius Nwosu for his achievements.

The Rector commended Engr. Pius Nwosu and his team. He said the project would never have been successful without the assistance of TETFUND.

Engr. Pius Nwosu said the project is a solution to the dangerous emissions emanating from fuel-powered vehicles
He also mentioned that mass production would require government intervention.
