EKITI ECONOMY BOOST: Promasidor Invests $5million On Ikun Dairy Farm

Promasidor Nigeria Limited is the leading provider of high-quality food products across various regions in Africa. They offer goods that are economical, of excellent quality, across their extensive product range.

Recently, the company invested 5million dollars into the production sector in Ekiti state which was directed into the dairy farm. This has made Promasidor a major investor for the state.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, describing the $5 million investment by Promasidor Nigeria Limited said the investment was targeted at the moribund Ikun Dairy Farm in the state to resuscitate it. He also added that this act is a major catalyst that would ease the state in a various way and in no small measure when it begins operation fully.

Fayemi added that the contribution has made Promasidor a core investor in Ekiti, saying production would have since begun in the milk industry located in Ikun Ekiti, Moba Local Government, but everything has been on hold resulting from the controlled movement caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce it’s spread in the state.

Promasidor has also donated food items worth 34million naira to the state in this period of the pandemic. Governor Fayemi who spoke in Ado Ekiti recently while receiving the palliatives reiterated that part of his administrative focus is to revive some of the ailing industries in the state.

During an underground survey, He said the donations have further attested to the fact that Promasidor is just particularly committed to the growth of Ekiti economy.

Fayemi, represented by the Special Adviser on Investment, Mr Akin Oyebode speaking at the launch, said the move is an awesome employment opportunity for the youths. The Governor pointed out that, the company’s acts have proven their belief in a public-private partnership paradigm shift for the development of any nation right. Further saying that government alone can’t grow the economy to an enviable height.

Chief Executive Officer of Promasidor Nigeria, Mr Anders Einarsson stating the drive behind their actions said ”our outreach project will go a long way in helping the most vulnerable in our society who has as a result of this pandemic have been unable to go about their normal day-to-day activities or have had their income disrupted. As a company who cares to the nourishment needs of everyone, regardless of their socio-economic status, we deemed it necessary to step in and assist in the best way possible by ensuring food and nourishment should not be a worry”.
