The Mona Foundation was founded by Prince Mustapha Audu and his wife, Zahrah Mustapha Audu in 2016. Mona Audu is a son to Late Prince Abubakar Audu, former Kogi State Governor who governed the state from the year January 1992 to January 1993 and from May 1999 to May 2003 as well. Mona Audu is the current gubernatorial candidate for Young Progressive Party in Kogi State.
Mona is a worthy philanthropist who carries out his gestures through his foundation. In a bid to assist the masses to live successfully through this COVID-19 imposed lockdown and stay at home across Nigeria, the Mona Foundation has concluded plans for items distribution within the country.
Items for distribution include masks and hand sanitizers, bags of rice and beans, cartons of Indomie Noodles, bags of tomatoes, cartons of Maggi, bags of pepper gallons of vegetable oil and other food items.
This distribution of relief items which has been estimated to worth 50billion will commence 3rd April 2020 as soon as necessary procedures are taken and clearance granted to allow for free movement of distribution teams in each state.
