Corp Member Uses his Carpentry Skill to Produce Furniture for Two Public Schools in his Host Community

There are people who have sworn not just to live in this world but also exist. People who are intentional and passionate about delivering services, providing solutions to problems, relieving discomforts, adding values, promoting selflessness and good work, being a blessing to their generation and humanity as a whole, leaving their footprints not only in the hearts of men but also in the sand of time.

The above just described Stephen Moses Teru, a corp member who served in Cross River State. He used his carpentry skills to provide comfort for over 80 students and pupils from one primary and one secondary school in his host community.

Corp member, Stephen M. Teru shared on his Facebook wall:

“To God be the glory! I volunteered my skill to produce desks, tables, benches, and shelves for the comfort of over 80 students and pupils of the two public schools (Community Secondary School and St. Georges Primary School) in my host community -Old Netim, Akamkpa LGA. Cross River State.

I must in a very special way appreciate the good people of the community for their support. Big thanks to my ever-supportive principal Mr. Emmanuel Eni Sir, you are too much! My NYSC Inspector, Mr. Ubong Effanga, thank you, Sir! You’ve been a great source of motivation to us all. All my friends and colleagues, thanks for being there. My family at Jos, this is for you!”

This is a great one from him. We hope the good seed that has been planted and germinating yield bountiful fruits for harvest. We hope that others will be inspired to give sacrificially before expecting in return. We hope that other corp members see that one year can be maximized effectively to affect lives positively.
