In this solemn and exciting season of Christ’s resurrection, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka stretched out his hand of love to over 300 vulnerable citizens. He said while a lot of Nigerians are celebrating the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus in plenty, many others are genuinely unable to take part in the celebrations due to lack.
Bishop Ezeokafor gave out bags of rice, loaves of bread, clothing materials, shoes, an umbrella, cartons of noodles, and tubers of yam.
While distributing the packs, he said, “If you go by what you see or encounter, no one would want to give to the needy, because, people pretend to be suffering from one ailment or the other just to beg for alms”
He, therefore, encouraged Nigerians to give alms.
