A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as ‘Igbos Love Themselves’ Unveiled a Brand New Apartment for Indigent Couples in Nrobo Community

The couple who were gifted the two-bedroom apartment, Mr. And Mrs. Gabriel Okereke Sunday have lived all their lives in a worn-out building since they got married to one another over 30 decades ago as a result of this, the charity organization had to intervene.

The Chief Executive Officer of the charity organization, Chief Mathias Ezeaku who spoke during the presentation ceremony of the house said he felt emotional on seeing the wretched living condition of the couple.

He complained about public-spirited individuals and political leaders who look away when their followers go through hard times.

“When someone brought the living condition of the couple to my attention I was shocked to see that where they were living was not even good for domestic animals, so we decided to put up the building for them.

“Political leaders and public-spirited individuals should you look around and see how to alleviate the sufferings of the poor people around them other than looking either way,” he said.

He recalled that he was passionate to contribute to relieving the rate at which people suffer in Igbo land made him feature in a movie named ‘Gilbert Nwa-Nsukka’ and also set the foundation.

He also added that the two-bedroom apartment is the 6th building that had been gifted to the less privileged across the Southeastern geopolitical zone over the past few months and that the foundation will soon uncover another new apartment in Awkuzu, Anambra State.

It was also discovered that the organization has been in existence for years and it’s respected for rendering help to people across the East by providing shelter, footing medical bills, and helping people in need.

In his response, Mr. Okereke expressed joy and how happy he is and prayed that God blesses Chief Mathias Ezeaku and that God also replenishes the NGO’S pocket.

“I never knew alike this will happen to me, this is a miracle, chief Mathias is a God sent, I have never lived under a modern roofing sheets talk less of the blockhouse.

“With this new building, I and my wife feel like we are living in paradise. I pray to God to bless and reward chief Mathias and his NGO abundantly,” he prayed.
