22year-Old COVID-19 Patient Delivered of Twin Babies at LUTH

As the testing and diagnosis of people infected with the virus is on-going, the patients have been subjected to treatment and isolation at the Isolation Centre in Lagos.

Meanwhile, special cases abound from pregnant women testing positive to the infection doubling the task. They have been kept on close monitoring and have been recorded to have undergone safe deliveries.

Recently, a 22year-old adds to the previous numbers to make the delivery of COVID-19 patient successfully taken since the outbreak, from the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, Isolation Centre increase to 4 while the twin babies made babies number up to 5.

The twin babies, delivered through a caesarean section, weighed 3.2kg and 3.25kg respectively.

The mother and the babies, who happened to be a boy and a girl, are reportedly in perfect health conditions and doing very well.

Over and again, we want to celebrate as well as appreciate our health workers for their selfless effort towards the well-being of the infected at this time. They are the real risk-takers.
